Children develop quickly in the early years and a child鈥檚 experiences between birth and five years have a major impact on their future life chances. The House of Colours Nursery team is committed to setting the standards for 鈥淟earning and Development鈥� 鈥淎ssessment鈥� and 鈥淐hild Protection鈥� for children from birth to four years plus. There are 7 areas of Learning and Development with 17 goals, all areas are important and interconnected. 3 areas are particularly crucial for children鈥檚 curiosity and enthusiasm for learning and for building their capacity to learn, form relationships and develop. These 3 areas are the PRIME AREAS. Child care providers must also support in 4 SPECIFIC AREAS to strengthen the 3 PRIME AREAS.
