Al Manahil Private School follows the National Curriculum in England leading on to IGCSEs and A-levels. In accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Education, all children learn Arabic and UAE Social Studies. In addition, Muslim children study Islamic Studies.

Primary Section:

Teaching methods are deployed to ensure that children receive personalised learning in both ability-based and mixed ability classes. As a result of this individualised learning approach, it is quite common for children to be learning different things and at different rates compared to other children in the same or different class.

Our curriculum strives to ensure breadth and balance by using a variety of resources from various sources. The National Curriculum of England does not encourage or prescribe set textbooks. We plan topics carefully so continuity and progression are smooth and aid development. Topics enable us to identify skills, concepts, knowledge and ideas from individual subjects and bring them together in a cohesive way.

Every student and parent in KG2 to Grade 5 receives a Monthly Curriculum Newsletter outlining the topics and content being covered. In addition, students in KG2 and Grade 1 receive a Weekly Overview clarifying the learning focus for that period.

Secondary Section:

Secondary students are encouraged to be independent learners with the skills, knowledge and understanding required to face the challenging steps in their lives. This is underpinned by our positive ethos which allows all of our students to become confident, productive and caring members of the local, national and global community.

We provide a framework which enables teachers and students to be creative and challenged, and parents to be curious yet assured, in a safe, focused and enjoyable environment, whereby everyone is provided with opportunities to grow and learn.

Every student and parent receives a Monthly Curriculum Newsletter for each subject outlining the topics and content being covered for that period.
